INSIDE
Accommodation at Casa Sviracina is spread over two independently accessed floors.
The main entrance to the ground floor is gated and leads through into an open-plan space, whose luminous atmosphere, clean lines and modern rustic style sets the tone for the rest of the house. To one side is a well-equipped kitchen with pristine white cabinetry, marble worktops, and a central island with bar stools. Immediately in front, united by pale grey tiled flooring and white walls, is the indoor dining area, which sits next to a traditional fireplace.
A doorway leads through from the kitchen diner into the living room, which is divided into two sections: to the left is two comfortable sofas and a 42” smart TV; to the right is a smaller sofa with a couple of footstalls that makes a perfect nook for reading and relaxing. Three pairs of French doors bring in the light, sea views, and allow the space to flow out onto the sea-facing terraces.
External staircases on both sides of the property lead up to the first floor hallway, off which all six of the bedrooms are accessed:
• The master bedroom, a double-aspect double with ensuite shower room, sea views, and access through French doors to the main first floor balcony terrace
• A double with en-suite shower room and access through French doors to the main first floor balcony terrace
• A double with en-suite shower room
• Two doubles with access through French doors to the main first floor balcony terrace, which share the two first floor bathrooms
• One bedroom with a bunk bed, which also shares the two first floor bathrooms
OUTSIDE
Casa Sviracina sits on a quiet, pine-forested peninsula on Hvar’s northern coast. The grounds are a delight to explore and offer plenty of opportunities for carefree al fresco living. The myriad terraces have been planted with an alluring variety of Mediterranean flora: plants, herbs, ornamental grasses, succulents, and olive trees.
A smooth path makes a beeline from the house directly down to the Sviracina Beach with its shallow, turquoise waters.
Terraces fan out on all sides of the property, offering plenty of space for everyone to find their own spot. On the ground floor and to the front, accessed from the living area, is a shaded lounging space with a couple of deck chairs. A couple of steps beyond and gazing out to sea is a voluminous, shaded dining area with a large wooden dining table and served by a traditional wood-fired barbecue and a pizza oven.
External staircases lead up from both sides of the house to the upper level terrace of Casa Sviracina, which is home to the tempting infinity pool, flanked on both sides with comfy sun loungers. The pool is built into the rocky hillside itself, offering an elevated position with unobstructed views stretching out across the Adriatic. Just behind the pool, a shady lounging area hosts an L-shaped sofa and coffee table.
Four of the six bedrooms on the first floor share access to the large, supremely panoramic balcony terrace that looks out across the Adriatic and is also well-furnished with sun loungers.
Guests will continue to discover alfresco areas dotted around the property: a shaded sitting area directly beneath the pool terrace, a small dining area with round table for 4 next to the main entrance, and a tiled deck to the rear that will prove extremely popular with yoga enthusiasts who enjoy performing sun salutations as the first light of sunrise appears each morning.

- Casa Sviracina has private permanent moorings for speedboats up to 10m, jetskis, and sailboats.
- The entire bay is shared with just two much smaller accommodations and sees very few day visitors. While private beaches aren't permitted by law in Croatia, this spot delivers as close to a quiet, exclusive beach experience as you'll find.
- The pool is heated to approximately 28°C in April and early May, and throughout late October and November.
- Three bathrooms (one en-suite and the two family bathrooms) are currently undergoing full renovation, to be completed by early springtime 2026. New photos will be added upon completion.
- All of Casa Sviracina's six bedrooms are located on the first floor of the property, accessible only via an external staircase.
- External CCTV is present at all entrances to the property in accordance with local regulations to ensure guest safety and security.
- The final 300 metres of the access road leading to the villa is unpaved gravel. Due to short distance, a 4x4 is not required.
- Note that construction noise is illegal in this region of Croatia from 12th May – 6th October. If you book outside of this time, there is the possibility of construction noise impacting your stay.
- Restaurants and other establishments mentioned are subject to seasonal availability. Opening and closing dates are determined by the businesses themselves and may vary. Some venues may be closed outside the peak summer season.
- As with all residential areas on Hvar Island, quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. No music is to be played outside during these hours.
The Area
Casa Sviracina sits next to a gorgeous secluded beach on the island's northern coast, a few kilotmetres from the historic village of Brusje, and just a short drive from all that's best of Hvar Town.
Hvar Town stands as the beating heart of Croatia’s sunniest island, a fortified harbour settlement where Renaissance palaces and marble-paved squares rise straight from the water’s edge. Centred around one of the largest and most beautiful squares in Dalmatia, the town is dominated by the imposing cathedral of St. Stephen and overlooked by the hilltop fortress that offers sweeping views across the harbour and the Pakleni Islands beyond. Narrow stone streets lined with Venetian architecture, boutique shops, and inviting cafés lead down to the palm-fringed waterfront, where superyachts moor alongside traditional fishing boats, and the daily bustle of locals and visitors creates an infectious energy that lasts from morning market to late-night cocktails.
Beyond the historic core, Hvar Town serves as the perfect base for exploring the island’s natural and culinary highlights. Excellent restaurants range from sophisticated waterfront dining to family-run konobas serving fresh seafood and local wine, while the surrounding coastline offers secluded coves, pebble beaches, and crystal-clear waters ideal for swimming and boating. Regular ferry services and water taxis make arriving here from Split and day trips to the Pakleni archipelago effortless, and the town’s calendar is packed with cultural events, from classical concerts in ancient cloisters to the renowned summer festival scene. Well-connected yet never overwhelmed, this compact town holds more history, culture, and waterfront glamour per metre than almost anywhere else in the Adriatic.
