Villas Dvor Trio is the grouped collection of Villa Dvor Ardito, Villa Dvor Nicolo, and Villa Dvor Marietta.
To arrive at Villas Dvor Trio, you will enter the Mediterranean-style stone courtyard that connects the three villas with their final Dvor brother, Villa Giovanni. Upon entering the courtyard, even before reaching the villas, one is immediately struck by the feeling that this is a very special place indeed. Young locals have renovated these centuries-old stone houses and revived their former glory, but the storied history is almost palpable.
Villa Dvor Ardito
Accommodation at Villa Dvor Ardito is set over three floors. Original features abound throughout the property, including exposed stone walls, wood-beamed ceilings, restored ceramic stone flooring, and the gorgeous living room fireplace.
The entrance to Villa Dvor Ardito is on the left side of the courtyard, and opens immediately into a voluminous, well-equipped kitchen and dining area. To one side is the staircase that leads to the first floor, which comprises a living room with two comfortable sofas and an HD home cinema, and two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a king bed with an ensuite shower room. The second bedroom is also ensuite, and contains two single trundle (pull out) beds, so is ideal for up to four children sharing together.
The staircase from the living room leads to the villa’s second floor containing the largest principal bedroom, complete with a super king bed, a full bathroom with a tub, and the balcony terrace upon which you can gaze out across the surrounding vineyards and olive groves.
Outside on the ground level, the dining terrace is an excellent area for al fresco dining, sheltered by a wooden awning, and offering a beautiful view across the verdant landscape. A staircase from here leads down to the pool area, surrounded by sun loungers and olive trees. Beyond the pool terrace, step out into the extensive vegetable garden full of organic Mediterranean plants and produce, and feel free to help yourself!
Villa Dvor Nicolo
Accommodation at Villa Dvor Nicolo is set over three floors. The main entrance to Villa Dvor Nicolo opens immediately into a spacious open-concept living area and well-equipped kitchen complete with a central island breakfast bar. The living room has a large comfortable sofa (which can be transformed into a double-sized 140cm sofa bed for groups of up to 6), an HD home cinema, and a stunning fireplace. On the back wall, a staircase leads up to the first floor bedroom, which contains two twin beds with an ensuite shower room. The staircase continues to lead up to the second floor, where the second bedroom contains a king bed and also an ensuite shower room.
Outside back on the ground level, the dining terrace is an excellent area for al fresco dining, sheltered by a wooden awning, and offering a beautiful view across the verdant landscape. A few steps from here lead down to the pool area, complete with 4 sun loungers and surrounded by olive trees.
Villa Dvor Marietta
Accommodation at Villa Dvor Marietta is set over two floors. The main entrance to Villa Dvor Marietta opens immediately into a spacious open-concept living area and well-equipped kitchen complete with a central dining table for 4 people. The living room has a large comfortable sofa (which can be transformed into a double-sized 140cm sofa bed for groups of up to 4), and an HD home cinema. A staircase leads up to a landing with a gorgeous bathroom with double sinks and a seamless walk-in shower on the upper ground floor. The staircase then ascends furhter to the first floor mezzanine bedroom, which contains a king size bed, a dedicated workspace, and direct access to the balcony terrace complete with an al fresco dining area and deckchairs upon which you can gaze out across the surrounding vineyards, olive groves, and out to sea.

- The pools are open seasonally from May 1st to October 31st
- The pools are not heatable, and therefore may be extremely refreshing at the beginning and end of the season.
- The living room sofa in Villa Dvor Nicolo can be folded out into a double (140cm) sofa bed for groups of 5-6.
- The living room sofa in Villa Dvor Marietta can be folded out into a double (140cm) sofa bed for groups of 3-4.
- Villas Dvor Trio is a collection of three next door neighbour villas, from smallest to largest: Villa Dvor Marietta, Villa Dvor Nicolo, and Villa Dvor Ardito. These three villas are suitable for groups of up to 18. If you are a larger group of guests, then there is also the fourth and final villa, Villa Dvor Giovanni. There is the possibility to rent any or all of Villas Dvor in any configuration. The most popular groupings are Villas Dvor Trio, or all four villas together as Villas Dvor Quattro.
- Note that construction noise is illegal in this region of Croatia from 1st June – 30th September. If you book outside of this time, i.e. in May or October, there is the possibility of construction noise impacting your stay.
- Restaurants and other establishments mentioned are subject to seasonal availability. Opening and closing dates are determined by the businesses themselves and may vary. Some venues may be closed outside the peak summer season.
- As with all residential areas on Hvar Island, quiet hours are from 1pm to 4pm, and 10pm to 8am. No music is to be played outside during these hours.
The Area
Villas Dvor Trio is a collection of three neighbouring villas in the heart of Pitve village, one of Hvar's oldest settlements and considered by many as the most picturesque.
Pitve is a picturesque hamlet positioned at the foot of the dramatic hills that separate it from the sea. It is one of the oldest hamlets on the island, established to watch over the settlements and fields below from its incredible vantage point. Shaded by the rim of the island’s ridgeline, Pitve stays much greener than the rest of Hvar and enjoys a breath of cool mountain air, even in the peak of summer. This historic town is perfectly preserved. There is no new construction here, just beautifully restored stone houses in a setting that would suit a Mediterranean fairy tale.
Today, Pitve attracts travellers who appreciate quiet, generous space and easy access to both nature and the coast without being right in the midst of the action. Hiking trails start directly from the village edge, cycling routes wind through nearby fields, and both the northern and southern side beaches lie just a short drive away. To reach some of the finest beaches on Hvar, simply pass through the Pitve-Zavala tunnel – an experience that feels like a small adventure in its own right. Pitve works best for guests who want to slow down and experience Hvar from its interior, away from more popular hubs, yet still not far away from anything.
