INSIDE
Accommodation at Sunrise House is spread across a three-storey main house and a two-storey annex just in front, connected by stone paths and archways.
Main house:
The hub of the main house, on the ground level, is a welcoming open-concept living and dining area, where the original exposed stone floors meet stone walls that flow throughout. To one side is a hardwood dining table for 8, while to the other is the first of the property’s three well-equipped kitchens.
A flight of external stone steps leads up to the first floor, which is home to two of the bedrooms that share a bathroom:
• the main bedroom, a spacious and luminous king with a pair of French doors that open out onto the upper floor balcony, complete with lounge and dining seating.
• an interconnected king bedroom behind, perfect for children to stay close while maintaining a sense of privacy.
Straight ahead is a hardwood staircase leading up to the second floor, where the space flows into another well-equipped kitchen and dining area. Much like the first floor below, pairs of French doors bring in the natural light and provide access to a balcony. At this elevation, the balcony looks out to sea. The gentle colour palette of this level – smooth creamy tiled floors, stone walls, and exposed wooden beams – create an atmosphere that is authentic, tranquil, and airy.
A few steps behind the kitchen is the second floor bedroom, a double-aspect king, and a bathroom.
Accommodation in the main house is completed by a final wooden staircase that takes one to the attic bedroom – the fourth room with a king size bed – and wonderful picture window views out across the Adriatic.
Front annex:
A stone-tiled path leads from the pool area directly to the ground floor of the front annex building, framed by an elegantly arched set of French doors and windows. Step inside and one is in a generously proportioned open-plan communal space comprising the third modern kitchen, an indoor dining table, and a comfortable sofa. A few steps behind is the annex’s bathroom.
A spiral staircase leads up from behind the living area into the annex bedroom, a luminous double-aspect king with access to its private wraparound terrace, complete with deckchairs, from which to soak up the most spectacular views Sunrise House has to offer.
OUTSIDE
Al fresco life at Sunrise House is centred around the splendid pool area. Stone paving leads from the main house, through an archway, past the front annex and petite manicured garden areas to this special place. At the centre, surrounded by more of that perfect paving and flanked on both sides by sun loungers, sits the irresistible 36m² pool – while to one side is a wooden pavilion containing the day bed. Gazing out over the blue waters of the Adriatic Sea, this is the place where guests find time truly starts to stand still.
Set just behind to one side is the main alfresco dining table, served by the traditional wood-burning barbeque positioned a few metres away on the interconnecting stone path. To the other side, a ping pong table beckons for pre-dinner enjoyment.
All of the floors of both buildings flow out onto balconies or terraces, allowing guests to enjoy a truly indoor-outdoor lifestyle. The house is dotted with sitting spots all around, so you will never struggle to find your own peaceful spot for a quiet morning coffee, relaxing with a book, or taking an afternoon snooze.

The Area
Sunrise House occupies a privileged panoramic position in the historic village of Brusje, just a short drive from all that's best of Hvar Town.
Hvar Town stands as the beating heart of Croatia’s sunniest island, a fortified harbour settlement where Renaissance palaces and marble-paved squares rise straight from the water’s edge. Centred around one of the largest and most beautiful squares in Dalmatia, the town is dominated by the imposing cathedral of St. Stephen and overlooked by the hilltop fortress that offers sweeping views across the harbour and the Pakleni Islands beyond. Narrow stone streets lined with Venetian architecture, boutique shops, and inviting cafés lead down to the palm-fringed waterfront, where superyachts moor alongside traditional fishing boats, and the daily bustle of locals and visitors creates an infectious energy that lasts from morning market to late-night cocktails.
Beyond the historic core, Hvar Town serves as the perfect base for exploring the island’s natural and culinary highlights. Excellent restaurants range from sophisticated waterfront dining to family-run konobas serving fresh seafood and local wine, while the surrounding coastline offers secluded coves, pebble beaches, and crystal-clear waters ideal for swimming and boating. Regular ferry services and water taxis make arriving here from Split and day trips to the Pakleni archipelago effortless, and the town’s calendar is packed with cultural events, from classical concerts in ancient cloisters to the renowned summer festival scene. Well-connected yet never overwhelmed, this compact town holds more history, culture, and waterfront glamour per metre than almost anywhere else in the Adriatic.
